FosterTalk Website
UX UI Design

FosterTalk is a company that is dedicated to supporting foster carers by providing them with advice, funding, training, and mental health services. They approached me to design the visuals for their huge website which spans multiple web pages and many different functions. The FosterTalk team informed me that they were unhappy with the previous ‘outdated’ design and wanted something new.

I began the project by digesting the key stakeholders’ requests and desirables. Then I began creating user flows and visuals for each page, so they had some loose unison. I used a variety of colour gradients and styles to give each sector of the website a corresponding theme. Tapping into certain emotions with certain colour choices. From allegation support, memberships, services and the training pages, each section was designed to have its strain of emotion yet still maintain a soft, holistic feel for the target audience – retired men and women over 50.

Given the enormity of the website, the journey of this design involved a series of meetings, feedback sessions, and briefs. I thrived on the process of communicating with the FosterTalk team to create content that met the expectations of all their internal and external network.
