An EPIC Rebrand

 

EPIC Youth is a support and mentorship program for young entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas through to launch. The program was built to educate and motivate cultures from marginalised backgrounds to unlock their business potential. I was tasked to conceptualise a new visual identity for EPIC Youth.
I put forward a request to change the name to EPIC, and, once signed off, I began creating logos with the vision in my mind of something clean, fresh, and instantly recognisable. The brand has to be attractive to the potential young entrepreneurs and the potential investors - therefore, I created a fresh and engaging identity that would be enticing for the youth but taken seriously by the bigger investment world.
From this logo anchor point, I created brand guidelines, chose colours and took the key stakeholders through my phased design sign-off journey. As my work gained momentum the brief grew and I was asked to also build a website, create marketing collateral, social media advertising assets, and print collateral for the EPIC events. I also created designs for the annual EPIC awards and became a brand and creative mentor in their program. EPIC mentoring is something I will continue to do as I am a strong believer in both learning and passing on knowledge where possible.
